​Sonni Byrne (vocals)

A much-loved jazz performer, Sonni is not just a singer but also a director, writer and actor.

She brings years of performance experience across several genres ... musical theatre, jazz, cabaret, drama, comedy and opera. 

Sonni has studied both Musical Theatre and Jazz at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and for the last ten years has been a mezzo-soprano with the West Australian Opera.

Along with cabarets and plays, Sonni has performed in principal roles in numerous musicals such as Chicago (Roxy), A Little Night Music (Desiree), Cats (Grizabella) and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Little Voice), to name a few. As Bloody Mary in South Pacific, Sonni won the 2006 Finley Award for Best Female Musical Theatre Performer. 

As one half of the comedy musical duo Cabaret Soufflé, she co-created and performed in the cabaret Femmes Fatales – A History, which debuted at Fringeworld Perth 2013. 

Sonni serves up a joyful feast of tasty jazz, with a sweet after-taste of fun.

Gavin Nicklette (keys)

Known for his unique reinterpretations of well-known songs with a jazzy twist, Gavin comes alive on the keys.

He started learning to play at the age of 5 and went on to study jazz performance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Gavin has played/toured with the West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra, Fred Wesley (US trombonist and arranger for James Brown's Big Band), Grace Knight, James Morrison and various other Australian artists.

Dedicated to sharing a sampling plate of jazz flavours with people who might not realise they even like the genre, Gavin is a man on mission. Listeners should be prepared to fall in love with music again.
